About

The AI Robot-Driven Science Initiative (AIRDS) is a non-profit general incorporated association established to redefine the process of scientific research through AI and robotics, and to accelerate its progress. Researchers, engineers, and companies from academia, industry, and government come together to co-create the future of science through multifaceted initiatives including community building, research infrastructure development, international collaboration, and policy advocacy.

Project Director of the RIKEN AGIS (AI-driven Genome-scale Integrative Science) Program. Since around 2014, he has recognized the importance of accelerating scientific research through AI and robotics, and has been advocating for the "Fifth Science." Contributed as the first Chief Information Officer of RBI Corporation, which commercialized the experimental robot LabDroid Mahoro. Co-founder of Epistra Inc. Management Advisor at MOLCURE Inc. Principal Investigator of JST Mirai Program "Robotic Biology for Accelerating Life Science" (2021-2025).
